well iam thinking my right coil on my 360 its shot or going. so i have great spark both sides and a fully charged battery when i start her up but after about 2 miles i lose spark in my right clyinder will still idle but rough let bike sit for a few hours and shell start right up and run great till it happens again. could this be anything else

How old is the battery? I've had batteries that read 12V with the multimeter that just don't work on my 360.

If the battery is older than a year, I'd go for a new one before I messed with the coils. Otherwise, I think your diagnosis is correct. If the battery checks out fine, my vote is for replacing the coils.

Before you do anything though, check the timing. It's probably not an issue, but it's quick and easy and should done regularly anyway. Use a strobe if you have one. I had a bike that would die after running for a bit and it turned out it wasn't the time it was running, it was the speed. The advancer was malfunctioning.

battery is about 2 months old and points and timing are dead nutz! i figured it was the coil but nice to hear someone else is on the same page thanks
