Honda cb550 of yesterday (as in, not mine anymore)

high fives and coconuts
Hi guys, thought I would put up some pics of a bike that I had for a few months until last summer. It is a 1976 Honda cb550 that was
heavily worked over by a vintage race rider and builder in the Vancouver area. When I bought it he agreed to modify much of the bike to the image I had in my head of the cafe I wanted. This process included finding a Giuliari seat (new from california), adding set passenger pegs, removal of baffles and then painting and other detailing by me. The bike was prepped for race, with all bolts saftey wired, a mini rad, steering stabilizer, oil pan, clip ons, aluminum rims, a 650 cam, custom rear sets and some other bits I am sure I forget. I was a great bike in many ways, much tighter and quicker than the stock 550 I rode previous, but I ended up having to sell it. The original builder was great in helping turn it into the bike I wanted and I had fun while I owned it. Mangonotforget. You can check out the BMW chobberrafe that I now ride in the new members list. cheers.

I love this bike!! The colours are great. What's the go with the pan under the engine? It looks awesome regardless.
