Still working through my electrics. Can anyone tell me what the silicon rectifier does and how to test it. I cannot get a circuit through it with my tester. It also appears one of the wires comes from starter magnetic switch and the other goes to the neutral light on the dash. Is this right. Any advice would be good.

It's for the clutch switch. It's to make sure that the solenoid can still be activated when the bike is in gear but the clutch is pulled in, but also makes sure that the neutral light doesn't come on when you pull the clutch in (since the circuits are shared. Make sure you're using the diode test function on your meter when testing it.
