i have not posted on here for a while as we are so busy building cafe racers & making the seats, tanks & fairings. This is the latest one to be finished
FULLY restored honda cd200 cafe racer 12volt 1980 model
This bike has been professionally built by us with no expense spared,the list is endless but i will list as much as my memory will allow(but i am over 50 so may forget a few things!!)
The frame,wheels, swinging arm,side stand,foot peg mounts, fork brace have all been powder coated.
All the wheel bearings,swinging arm bearings & taper roller head bearings are new,
New chain & sprocket set
New tyres, new headlight black back with chrome rim,full top end engine rebuild including 4 new valves,
2 new megaphone exhausts on fabricated angled link pipes with down pipes wrapped in basalt heat wrap (the best you can buy)The hangers have been made to look like stock but lift the exhaust to the higher angle & do not have mounts for any rear foot pegs
Custom made fibreglass seat unit (made specially for this bike but we now sell quite a few of these)with built in tail light & alloy undertray.
Rewired with all electrical component hidden in the seat hump including the new lithium ion battery.Most of the wiring is hidden in the frame.
Ace bars fitted with period ribbed grips, alloy foot pegs.
Every nut & bolt has been replaced with stainless items the ones like wheel spindles have had the ends chrome plated.fork legs & engine casings highly polished
New adjustable shocks
Tank, seat,fork covers & headlight brackets (indicator holes welded up) have been painted in 2k gloss black - no filler on the tank what so ever.
Lots of genuine new honda parts used on this build -receipts for many £100's
New Mot passed without any advisories I have been using this to run around on since we finished building it put just over 100 miles on it this will probably go up if the weather stays nice & its great fun
An absolute pleasure to ride & gets attention where ever it goes & im sure you wont find a better example.
just pulled up at a bike show on it today & i got harassed to put it in the show by the organisers
