honda/Matchless emblem

I think the 6 inch one is the way to go now that I have them all lined up. maybe a little smaller because of the pads

Not to threadjack too much, ;D

Thanks for the Yamaha 'Y' Gahi, , I really like the 'circular' one 8)
Computer rendering isn't something I've learned, bit's of metal are much easier for me to deal with ;)

I just did this tank with spray bombs and a brush. Oil and gas resistant engine enamel for the red. Then I took clear adhesive backed film, put it over the tank and traced the emblem on it, cut it out with a razor and hit it with silver engine enamel. I put some 1/8" masking tape around the tank as a guide then brushed silver One-Shot enamel on both sides of it for the pinstripe. The emblem was high-lighted by brushing Rustoleum white and engine enamel black onto it. The final coat will be the same brand oil and gas resistant engine enamel in clear. Enamel should be left to cure for at least two months before use, as it takes that long to fully dry. It helps curing and hardening if you let it sit in the sun and soak up some ultraviolet rays when you get the chance. Tank is for a 1963 Matchless G12csr. Total cost for the paint, thinners and brush was about $70....

Oh cool man, nice job. I realized that my tank grips wont really look good on my tank, as they dont flow with any lines. So I think I am going to do some pinstriping similiar to how you did your matchless one. I like how that turned out so I might just have to do something like that.

I know I'm kind of late to the party, but I love that 3rd one. I'd also like to see it on the top/middle of the tank. Might make a cool gas cap. I'd kind of like to see it one winged too. Not saying I'd like it better though. It would also be cool for the side covers.

edit: Not to say that it is what you need to to or that it'd be right for your bike... just that it's cool.
