I bought this 1977 Honda XL75, its the enduro version of the xr75 and can be legally ridden on the road. Plan is to make it into a mini cafe racer.

I have a set of 12" wheels, forks and tank off a honda ape so on they went. (The original wheels and forks need rebuilding, down the track they might go back on.)

Here it is starting to take shape, added some beefy gas shocks to level it out:

Re: Honda "Babyccino" XL75

The original engine is 6v points and 75cc. i have decided to upgrade to a 1998 XR100 engine which gets me 12v and CDI along with heaps more options to give it more power.

The frame was modified and I added a longer G'craft swing arm:

Subscribed, very cool. I would love to do something like this to ride to work!

Re: Honda "Babyccino" XL75

I've started to reassemble the bike with the xr100 engine. This engine is stock and I have a second engine which is being built by a firepowerminis.com. It will be using a 59 stroker crank with a takegawa 58mm big bore piston/cylinder kit and peformance head. It will end up 156cc and hopefully make somewhere around 23hp.

I've got some clip-on handlebars, side covers, different front fender and exhaust to fit.

That's crazy. Need something like that to whip around Barber next October.

Re: Honda "Babyccino" XL75

Man when I was racing motocross a few years back everybody was hoping up XR50's to beat around on. Looks like the cafe scene will have it's own mini's started right here! Can't wait to see it with the clip on's. Everybody in my neighborhood has golf carts for their kids, mine might have mini cafe's! Sweet ride.

Could you give me more details about the swinging arm please?

I was hoping to get a xr75 aloy swingarm but there was nothing around so I bought a G'craft +20cm swingarm for a honda monkey. It needs a 4mm spacer on each side of the pivot mounting points as the monkey's frame is 10mm wider.

G'craft are custom mini bike parts manufacturer in Japan. Their pars are awesome quality but cost a fortune:

I bought it through www.japan.webike.net they offer free shipping to Australia and the USA on orders over $350.

Re: Honda "Babyccino" XL75

That's awesome!
Any plans to put the larger wheels back on it? I think larger wheels may look better....

Re: Honda "Babyccino" XL75

I love it, the small cc bikes dont get enough respect. I would love to have something like this

Re: Honda "Babyccino" XL75

I ended up changing the style, I plan on going for a custom made exhaust to finish of the look. This project probably needs a name change and to be moved to the tracker builds now.

My 156cc engine should be finished in the next 2 weeks so I'll update the pics then.
