We can only hope. But it would be nice if it dropped 100 pounds from the original.

Be pretty cool if certain things were swappable... just think of all the modern bits you could add to a vintage cafe... better engine, trans, brakes... but I'd still rather wrench a 30 year old bike... something about saying I rebuilt it instead of I went down to the dealership and bought it... that said I do drool every time I see one of the retro Ducati's :-*

Wow, and here I was just saying that I wish Honda would recreate their blackbomber! And they're not too far away from getting out a retrobike! I hope they keep with more, rather than less, of the styling! Price tag will most likely be crazy, though.

hope it will be sohc and not dohc, if dohc tho they probaly just use engine off the cb900t and just use lower displacement heads.

just relized i think pic is the prototype for the new 750

those breaks look pretty sophisticated for 1969, and those carbs look like there injected.

650 has same flange size and intake port spacing as a 750 could you imagine modern injected carbs on our vintage bikes ;D
would solve all my prob's carbs where ready be put back on when noticed i need clean my jets got small bits debris from before i cleaned tank, im ready smash my carbs to bite.

It would have to have an air cooled sohc engine, 4-4 exhaust, lots of chrome, and no plastic. I love the sound of the sohc 750/4 especially when you get over 5,000 RPM ;D

I'd rather buy a mint early model or another K8 anyway.

Actually i saw this bike earlier in the forum (http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=906.0) (first link)

Looks like the same bike to me.

that ebay bike sure is a purdy bike and they went through a lot to restore it, but holy crap, $17,0000.00 as starting bid?!?!??!!
There are definitely other things I'd rather spend that kind of cash on than a bike, unless of course I'm sticking filthy rich!!!

The photo posted by Pyro above is NOT a new CB750 - it's the original, first model CB750. Slotted sidecovers, painted airbox/headlight/ears, ducktail seat etc. all hallmarks of the first year.

And yes, for 1969, disc brakes were advanced - first production bike with them. Carbs aren't injected however.
