Honda twins - 350 and 500

Not a build, but seen today at a Hill Climb event in South Wales today.
I thought these may be of interest or inspiration to the Red Twin fans.

The first is a 350 twin in a Drixton (Welsh) Frame. This bike was smoking.
The engine was as hot as a hot thing and the pilot was lofting the front end into the air all over the place.
It howled like a beatch!

The second was a 500 twin in a stock frame and a design classic. Didn't seem to be in the same state of tune as its stable mate, but still pushed along at a fair old lick.

I hope it's ok to put these up in this section.

Thanks for those pics. Nice bikes. I think that the 350 is a TAB frame which are becoming quite common on K4 racers in the UK. Very light and stiff and CRMC legal.

It may be a loose copy of the 68 Drixton made for Terry Dennehy. I have still not seen a picture of the common CB450 Drixton chassis from the era. It's become part of legend and are used all over the world. AFAIK that was the 69 frame and therefore 1 year off to be legal - but I could be wrong about that. Besides, no one is changing history again just to match the facts.

Nice bikes and nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Teazer,
I've just googled Drixton and TAB ........ The owner of the 500 told me his mates 350 was a Drixton, but you are right, it quite clearly is a TAB. A stunning frame all the same though.

I wish I'd got a video of the 350 in action.
It was so responsive and pokey.
I had to see it to believe that these old twin engines were capable of performance I'd associate with a 2 stroke!
