Honk Kong Fooey Engine Cleaning gun

Coast to Coast
I saw this thing online and was wondering if anyone here has tried it. It's seems like if you ran the tube to a gallon jug of simple green, it would act like a very small pressure washer. Apparently the spray pattern is about the size of a quarter. The reviews are so so, but like most cheap shit from HF, you either get a good one, or you get a bad one.

I'm more concerned about the 25 minute drive to HF than the $9 price tag.

i'll see if i can find a reason to hit that part of town, it's kind of the opposite direction that I normally go.

If you get one of those find an oldschool napa and get a gallon of brake cleaner and it will make quick work of your grime.
Just be sure to wear a respirator and protective equipment as that stuff is poison for sure.

i had already thought about that. I'm trying to think of any other cleaners that might be a happy medium between simple green and something as toxic as brake cleaner.

What specifically are you trying to clean?

That way I can find a cleaner that is in between simple green and airplane stripper.

aluminum and steel engine parts. I've gone through a lot of simple green trying to clean some engine parts and cases.

I use the Gunk engine degreaser and a bottle brush to get the heavy stuff. Then follow up with some castrol super clean. Then I might hit it with. Some simple green.

I have that same engine cleaning gun from HF, I buy the HF Heavy Duty Degreaser in concentrate by the gallon and soak the engine with a 50/50 mix, let it sit 25 minutes and turn up the pressure and spray it with a 25/75 mix (cleaner to water).

I only paid $1.00 for mine, but am pleased with it. I added a larger hose to mine so I can walk around a bike and not have to move the bucket or container its siphoning out of..

Most people probably don't have an immersion heater, but I also heat my cleaning solution..
