VonYinzer said:Hell, im down. Yuengling seems to be lusted after by a few on here. If you dont mind cans I can send it out w/o fear of breakage... Theres also a great micro-brewery here in Pitt that sells beer in those mini keg cans. Havent had one from them I havent liked yet. Take a gander...http://www.churchbrew.com/
The large number of Irish, German, and eastern European immigrants in this area make for some great drinking!
Also terrific... Although I believe they may be moving out of town - http://www.pennbrew.com/

in bloomington, IN we have Upland Brewery that should be bottling their Winter Warmer soon. They have about 5 beer types that are typically for sale yearround. As a bonus my friend just started working there. We also have Bloomington Brewing Company run through Lennies Restaurant. They don't bottle though, only growlers so you'll have to come visit to taste.
mothgils said:are you down in B-town? I am just on the southside of Indy. A few other local breweries are Sun King and Oaken Barrel. Upland has some good stuff. They just opened a tasting place up in Broad Ripple
baconpocket said:yep, i live about 15 blocks from Upland. Broad Ripple and Oaken Barrel, I have tried and they both make some good beers. Oaken Barrels brewpub has awesome food too. I need to try Sun King. Do they distribute or a have a brewpub or what?
I could walk to the BackDoor in 15min from my house. (maybe 20, im not as young as i once was..) My friend Devon is the bartender, and ive known Gabe for years, so yes... ;D Great place. In fact, I may go there right now...Big R said:VonYinzer, you ever hear of the Back Door Tavern in Fallston? That's the place that has well over a hundred different beers ready for the drinking. There's also the Front Door but I don't know where it's at. And if anybody is ever around Slippery Rock U. there is a brewery/restaurant right there in town that is amazing. Last time we were there they had a bunch of old German and/or drunk guys singing right inside the door.
Where do you live man? I worked at Kellys for nearly 10 years... Started there when I was in high school (the owners son Sean is an old friend of mine) and still fill in every so often for them. I live 1 block from Roberts, and my buddys garage where we work on the rides is 2 blocks from Kellys. You can listen to the bands while working in the summer. If your near by we should get together for a beer!Big R said:Yeah, a 15-20 minute walk there could easily turn into a 30-45 minute walk home. My parents and my in-laws live up the hill in Patterson. And my soon-to-be-brother-in-law had his HD V-Rod wrecked down the road from Kelly's (on the bend). There's another great bar! But it's at it's best in the summer with the sand and all.
But back to the topic at hand - I don't know about a cross country beer exchange, but if I run into anybody from this forum I'll gladly exchange beers and bullshit!
