we have a few spots... but i drink high life... hey i am cheap and i love it... what can i say!
hell i will also admit, i drink ALOT of wine... i married a greek so what can i do!
we do have a great brewery by me though if anyone wants to sample their stuff. we ride up there to meet for breakfast and a beer every sunday!

Hey Joe, don't sweat it bro...hell I MAKE wine! What's your preferred squeezins?

I actually like a sweet red, alot of the fruit wines, and ice wines!, the wife like traditional greek reds and a good riesling... lots of the German riesling... we hit winerys all the time on the bikes, they always laugh when we roll up in full leathers on chops, cafes, and the other scoots... and know what we are talkign about with wine, they never expect it out of me... hey i can be cultured! My best friend makes his own wine so i get a few bottle of that every now and then, but we have a local wine maker that i go in and help him bottle... it is awesome! rummor has it there is going to be a bottle to comemorate the cafe being done... do not knwo if that is him busting my balls or if he is serious, he asked the wife for a picture of it... so who knows!

another reason why i love DTT.

in bloomington, IN we have Upland Brewery that should be bottling their Winter Warmer soon. They have about 5 beer types that are typically for sale yearround. As a bonus my friend just started working there. We also have Bloomington Brewing Company run through Lennies Restaurant. They don't bottle though, only growlers so you'll have to come visit to taste.

Like yogurt! :D

I tend toward's obscure reds myself. I just got 100# of Petite Verdot grapes and another 100 in Rioja that's gonna be killer. I don't know of any blends of these two so I'm going to reserve 15# of each and do a tester, kind of excited. I assist at a couple wineries as well as do all the one-off process machining for new equipment for them. Yay hooch!
You should PM me your address and I'll shoot you a bottle of mine out, Nice medium body red, goes great with any red meat dish.

Hell, im down. Yuengling seems to be lusted after by a few on here. If you dont mind cans I can send it out w/o fear of breakage... Theres also a great micro-brewery here in Pitt that sells beer in those mini keg cans. Havent had one from them I havent liked yet. Take a gander...http://www.churchbrew.com/
The large number of Irish, German, and eastern European immigrants in this area make for some great drinking!
Also terrific... Although I believe they may be moving out of town :( - http://www.pennbrew.com/

Church Brew is great! I had some friends that used to live in Bloomfield. They have killer brew and pizza. Always had to stock up on the Yeungling too. Just got a case left in the garage though.

are you down in B-town? I am just on the southside of Indy. A few other local breweries are Sun King and Oaken Barrel. Upland has some good stuff. They just opened a tasting place up in Broad Ripple

yeah it is near downtown, off of College. They have a tasting room there. They have beers on tap at some of the pubs along Mass. Ave.

VonYinzer, you ever hear of the Back Door Tavern in Fallston? That's the place that has well over a hundred different beers ready for the drinking. There's also the Front Door but I don't know where it's at. And if anybody is ever around Slippery Rock U. there is a brewery/restaurant right there in town that is amazing. Last time we were there they had a bunch of old German and/or drunk guys singing right inside the door.

I could walk to the BackDoor in 15min from my house. (maybe 20, im not as young as i once was..) My friend Devon is the bartender, and ive known Gabe for years, so yes... ;D Great place. In fact, I may go there right now...
The place in the Rock is called North Country Brewing. They have great beer and food. Ive actually never been inside the place. I worked at SRU for two years building the new dorms, and in all that time never once went.. My wife and aunt have gone and good friends of mine have been several times (hence my beer/food tastes) and yet I have not. Its very high on my list of trips this summer though.

Yeah, a 15-20 minute walk there could easily turn into a 30-45 minute walk home. My parents and my in-laws live up the hill in Patterson. And my soon-to-be-brother-in-law had his HD V-Rod wrecked down the road from Kelly's (on the bend). There's another great bar! But it's at it's best in the summer with the sand and all.

But back to the topic at hand - I don't know about a cross country beer exchange, but if I run into anybody from this forum I'll gladly exchange beers and bullshit!

Where do you live man? I worked at Kellys for nearly 10 years... Started there when I was in high school (the owners son Sean is an old friend of mine) and still fill in every so often for them. I live 1 block from Roberts, and my buddys garage where we work on the rides is 2 blocks from Kellys. You can listen to the bands while working in the summer. If your near by we should get together for a beer!

I'm out at Ellwood City now. We moved out here so both of us could have a 5 minute drive to work. My scedule is working 4 12 hour days and then have 4 days off so I have plenty of time to do whatever I want. I'm about to start my work week (Yay going to work on a Friday night!) but I'll let you know next time I'm off and out. Worked at Kelly's for 10 years? Know a Melissa Littel?

IM In Hic..HIc Im thinkin i will get the samples , ;D Drink it, then post up a comment thus saving on the posstage and possable breakage ;) ;) which will be my pleasure cheers
