How about this as an oil tank?

I think it would look really good. It would hide the battery and looks to hold about the same volume of oil.
 
I went ahead and bid. We shall see how it goes. Gotta do some research on a conversion I'm not really sure how it would work. Just weld some bungs on and a return I guess? Anybody have any info?
 
Basically yes Ben. It's not gonna fit, and it's not gonna be plumbed correctly, but it is steel, and it will give you a good opportunity to learn how to braze bungs in! I love the look of it. I even love the color. I want to paint my garage the old Craftsman "seafoam green"

I was in the US Navy. White , black, two shade of grey and good old seafoam green. That is every color paint they used onboard. I fucking HATE seafoam green. :p

However that little gas tank could be really cool if you can make it work. 8)
 
It's good that we all have a different sense of style because it reminds me of an old school Commode or a padded toilet seat for old folks. Not the image I'd want ion my bikes but my imagination works on a different time table to most people....
