I wound up bolting mine on in 4 places. Its actually a pain to take it off. I decided on this after attending a bike show and seeing several people get their seats ripped off.
I have two flat metal bars welded across the frame. I drilled and tapped four holes and bolt it down with some flat allen head bolts. I will then take fiberglass molding of the seat have it upholstered and Velcro it down over those bolts. That's what glass from the past does, except they also use a hook with the Velcro.
Unfortunately the bike is in storage and for some reason I didnt really document the seat install in my build thread. Here's one picture that shows the bolted on receiver on the left and the rubber bumpers and brackets on the right. The tab on the seat is a simple piece of 1/8 aluminum flat bar 2 inches wide that simply slides into the receiver tab. The Dzus fasteners were just attached to the rear of the frame in a suitable spot.
