How do you fasten the seat cover in the "hump" of the seat pan?

Hi guys this is prolly a stupid question but...

So I have got the whole seat bottom covered. Then I have to switch angles and go up the bump stop part of the seat. My question is how do you keep the vinyl or other material from just coming up at the corner?

I have tried to fasten the bottom part (using stock ear type locks on backside) and then stretch the vinyl up and wrap it around the back of the seat. But it just keeps pulling in the corner part. Where the metal bends up.

I know this is a vague description but I hope you can visualize. If I had a sewing machine I would sew in something to loop through the seat pan at the corner and then fasten it on the backside. Problem is that I dont have an industrial sewing machine. I am trying to use one piece of vinyl to wrap all of the seat.

Could I just use some spray adhesive to fasten the loop (on backside of cover) that I would fasten on the backside of the seat pan? Is the Loctite spray adhesive strong enough to hold? Thanks

Thanks

Matt

After reading your question, you are now at the point where you need to show some pics of exactly what you are trying to describe. As they say a picture is worth a thousand replies, or something like that.

Try making a two piece seat cover instead? I know its more work but if you can do it right it I think it could be worth it... Given that I understand what your asking... Pictures please :)

How I attached my seat cover to the seat unit is by using a hardboard base for my seat cover which I attached tee-nuts to. I then covered the nuts and hardboard base with foam and then vinyl.

I then drilled holes in the seat unit which line up with the ones in the seat cover base and then put socket cap screws through to pull the seat cover tight and secure.
