how do you lower front fender

Coast to Coast
Bobbed the front fender today. left it a little longer in the back than the front to keep a little more water off me just in case (yeah right).

The question I have is this. Now that the fender on the GS450 is bobbed it is sitting an inch off the tire. it looks as though it is on as an after thought/ How do I lower it to the tire some to get a more streamlined look? Can it be done safely? Pics and tips appreciated.

How is the fender supported? It may be a matter of extending or shortening the bracket.

As for safety, I have my fender sitting no more than a quarter inch off the tire and I haven't had any problems yet. Just watch for any sharp edges that might catch on the tire.

Fender is supported in the normal way. comes down on both sides and bolts on with two bolts each side to the lower fork legs.
