How do you remove unwanted indicating lights?

Hi all, Well the title says it all. I have a gs550 and I am only going to be running a speedometer. That leaves a bunch of indicating lights I don't need. Now question, What should I do with them? The only thing I can think of is put all excess wiring in headlight, but that still leaves the bulbs? I've almost rebuilt the whole dang thing but when it comes to wiring I know I'm screwed if i start cutting stuff!

Good on ya for posting here. If you trace the individual wires for the items you don't want, chances are they will mate to the main harness with bullet connectors behind the headlamp. If you unplug them at those connectors you souldn't have to cut anything. Usually the grounds (-) will meet at a connector with many taps, just unplug the item you want to remove. The Positive (+) will be buy itself for each item most of the time.
Nice to see another Zookie in the fold.

Check your local laws via your states DMV website on the turn signals. Here is Ohio if it's 68 or newer it has to have turn signals.

Well I'm keeping the signals, Just removing the "dummy lights from in between the tach/speedo. The CBs have em on the top triple. But the GS's are just huge and since I'm removing the tach, I got no where to put em.

Rut-roe... I may have told you wrong then. I thought you meant "turn indicators". If you are removeing the tach, not only is there the idiot lights but also the back light for the tach itself. I do not remember if they are individual wires for those indicators or if they are all in a single connector for the clocks (gauges).
Either way trace the wires and you will see where they go to. worst case you can pull the wires out of the connector and still have some power to the clocks if needed. I wouldn't cut shit if I didn't absolutely have to.
