How minimal?

Gurus,

Just wondering what concessions you personally make to simplicity in wiring up your vintage bike. Do you sacrifice all the idiot lights? Gauge lights? Signals? Horn, even?

That should be a matter of your personal requirements and taste. Don't you think so? Sometimes it's easier to keep it stock, unless you have electrical skills.

Of course it is. Just wondering what people have decided to do within their skills range...wasn't asking for what I should do on my bike. Conversational question, not a request for direction.

I just finished my own first re-wire project. Kept a few things I'd been considering eliminating, like my ammeter and my gauge lights.

I get rid of all idiot light (after all I'm no idiot) I I'd put a neutral light in my last project but just because I needed something to fill the space left by the steering damper.
I generally just use turn signals on the back, I figure I'm watching in front of me, I know when I'm turning. But I can't control if someone rear ends me.
No horn for me, I don't use it In my cars so I don't need it on a bike.

I'm actually keeping everything, almost, only removing the fuel and volt gauges.

most states require turn signals. do i care? no. i use my hand signals..when theres cops around.
other than that i only have headlight and taillight,.
