how to get these off?

I Know Shocks Arent Made To Come Apart...But How Can I Get These Spring PrOtectors Off. Its Like Trying To Get V! Panties Off So Far. Can I Do It With Stock Kz400 Shocks?

Twist them.

you have to unspring the shock first, they should be held in place by a two piece collet that locks the spring retainer in place
