This is how we did it. We moved the electronic flasher relay to the end of the circuit on the tail light and put it on the ground. We think it will help us be seen more ... Keeping our gal from being banged in the rear by someone else? What do you think? How would you do it?

I don't know about the rest of you but I have a real issue with my gal from being banged in the rear by someone else? That's something I prefer to do MYSELF!
i will admit it was a poor video but I was so excited when everything started blinking by accident and then I had the epiphany that it may make it safer for Zeke to ride! Here was the problem:
The integrated tail lights were wired for a Vulcan 800 and the blinkers weren't wired for individual ground. The only to do that was separate the lens from the body but it was glued together.
The electronic flasher was wired tot the hot wire and if we grounded one of the blinker wires before the blinker with a test light it worked great...but if we used a grounding wire of course it would blow a fuse. So we decided to put the flasher on the end of the ground wire for the complete tail light. Now my thoughts are subconsciously people go around a flashing light. The running light flashes then te brake light flashes and makes it brighter and both blinkers work correctly. Probably not the first to do this but I thought it might make Lucky more visible.
I am not gonna worry about it being legal. I will pay the ticket if that is was it takes to make it safer for my son. I will tell the police officer that and if he wants to write a ticket so be it. Mercedes introduced flashing brakes under hard breaking and was given an exemption back in 2006. We will make a better video later to demonstrate.
Oh and it is not legal for a 10 year old to be riding around on the streets
Instead of using a turn signal relay, go pick up a brake strobe that is designed for this purpose. I prefer the strobe because it flashes fast (gets more attention?) and then holds steady after a few flashes. They can be had for about $20.

this is why I love DTT. We will do the strobe in addition to the flasher relay. Double up on the safety! I like that the running light pulses! Thanks Sonreir!
If you're really that worried about it, get him http://www.revzilla.com/product/joe-rocket-phoenix-50-mesh-textile-jacket in day-glow yellow. I have one in that color, I can be seen at least a mile out, plus some of the sections are reflective for night use.

thank you...we will light him up like Clark Griswolds Christmas...where he will say.. "Dad, you taught me everything I know about exterior illumination."
I want something flashing on the bike at the intersection stop light to catch their I and say, "what the hell is that?" My buddy had day glow on and some idiot launched him into traffic.
