How to run fuel lines with 2 petcocks?

My new tank has 2 petcocks, one on the left and one on the right. I've got a CB750 so 4 carbs. Should I run a line from the left petcock to the 2 left carbs and the right petcock to the 2 right carbs? Or bring the 2 petcocks together and then run 2 lines from that joint to the left and right nipples on the carbs?

Join them first. That way you don't have one pair of carbs running out of fuel before the other pair.

Run a T connector between them and that one line to the carbs.
