How to take off fork covers

im trying to remove the fork covers (the ones that the headlight and signals mount to) without taking off the wheel, any ideas?

Wot kind of bike?? Generally, you have to take the forks out of the top tree clamp to get them off. No other way around it.

If I'm understanding what you're asking you can just take off the top clamp.

Wouldn't have to take off the wheel... maybe throw a jack stand under the frame in the front to keep the weight off the lower.
