Hello all,
Squirrely1 here Recently picked up an 81 CM400C and a 80 CM400A after not owning or riding for 18 years!! The first one I'm calling Mad Max Cm400c (the yellow one) and the Cm400a the red one (aka the polished turd) it looks pretty but, after getting it home & rebuilding the carbs as the carbs were in a box but the motor spun over with the electric and felt like it had compression when using the kick start so I bought the bike... A big nope! Thankfully, I had bought a cm450e for parts for the cm400c and will be swapping that motor into the cm400a.
Thankfully, after rebuilding the carbs for Mad Max cm400c and putting the Cm450e tank on it runs and drives!!!
Well, I will keep this short but, I will be on learning about my new bikes!!

Just about a perfect size for a cafe bike. And, general information and parts are readily available for old Hondas.

there is a site called Davidsilverspares.com He also has a warehouse here in PA. That is where I go to get most of my parts for the old honda twins and singles.. He seems to have a lot of stuff that is hard to find anywhere else.

My first bike was a CM400 that I blew up and it became a CM450. There are a lot of parts from other Honda's that can swap to these bikes as well if you can do the digging and I am still looking to see if I have the airbox rubber tube you need.

Thank you Sir! My CM400C has the boots it's the CM400A that will become the CM450E that needs the boot... The CM400A didn't come with boots but, the CM450E came with 1 boot and no Air Box.
