I have used the new Oakley snowboard goggles that have that in there.
The MAJOR problem is that it is NOT a HUD in the traditional sense, you cant see through it, and most importantly you cannot focus on it and still see the road/slopes.
I guess you just have to actively think about when you're going to look at it and plan accordingly.
To me something more transparent projected onto the screen would be a huge improvement, as opposed to a tiny little tv in the corner where you have to actively move your eyes to see it.

Don't get me wrong, the tech is very cool, but IMHO its really dangerous.
