I am just getting into this scene and am kinda obsessed. I have two projects goin already: kz750 bobber and a cb 360 cafe.
I wasn't really into the cafe stuff until I bought one . Even though it isn't the best built it's the most fun I have ever had on a bike.
When I got her home she was only hitting on one cylinder and almost every nut and bolt was loose...lol I managed to get er tuned up and running strong. My next step is rear controls and a gsxr front end I just found on ebay, it came off an 05 600.
My question is: is this front end worth using and who can build me a custom spoked wheel?
Thanks in advance guys.

Thats a nice hardtail. Are you planning on keeping the suspension on the back of the other or is it going to end up the same way? I'd like to see more softail bobbers.
you can read through my cb450 thread to research how my front end went.. its definitely worth it. and doesn't take much modification... Buchanan can make you spokes for anything and provide you with any size wheel hoop.. it basically comes down to having some wheel adapters made for the brake rotors to line up, and a custom axle made. my thread is in my signature.. hope it goes well for you.
After another night spent researching, I am torn between going with the narrow Harley hub or the rad hub for the sv.
Quite a few people have pulled it off so, I am gonna buy the front end and give it a go.
The gsxr front end fell through, dag on buy it now!!!
So the search led me to a Hyabusa front end in the exact color scheme I am after. After doubting its compatibility it sounds like it could be a better choice. Thanks to it being a touch wider at the calipers, making more room for spokes.
Welcome! Nice little collection you have going there. That Suzuki gets my imagination working! FWIW, I'd put the later model running gear on that bike and keep the twin nice and simple.
Spent the day scrubbing a couple decades of crud and fighting stuck carb slides. I did get to take a short trip on the cb over to my dads for a little assistance with the carbs. Ran into some rain on the way back but, that just made the beers a little more enjoyable..lol
Anybody have any suggestions on where to get my rebuild kit and where I am gonna find the rubber bellows for the top of each carb. They turned into a nasty greasy bunch of junk.
A few pics

Snuck out of work a little early to do some more cleaning..
Before:
After:
I thought for sure all those oil lines would be junk but, I think I got lucky.
I also had enough time to tear into the petcock. I took it all apart and gave it a good cleaning. The most involved petcock I have ever seen and most expensive to rebuild.lol
I ordered carb kits, velocity stacks, tank strap, a new key, and trying to decide what to do about the petcock..
Anybody have a preferred brand of them small batteries?
Also. should I address anything as far as the oil system goes?
I run shorais in two of my bikes with good luck. My experience with the shorai is that as advertised they definately hold a charge much longer without being hooked up to a tender then the lead acid alternatives. Ballistic have been good too. They all seem to run about the price-wise.
Little update!!
Works been crazy but, the 380 is a ready for a test ride.
Just waiting on a few parts.
I had yesterday off so I drove 230 miles to pick this up.
Got it running this morning and rode it all day long. Fun little bike.
Just going with the flow bud.???
I have next to no free time at all in the summer months, due to work.
I hope to have a big heap of parts and a few bikes to work on this winter. Soon as I decide on a direction to go with them I will start a proper build thread.8)
This is more like a "this is what I am up to-what you guys think about my bikes" thread.
The busa frontend fell through, guy claimed it wasn't as described.???
Honestly, my thoughts on modernizing these bikes have changed somewhat.
At first I just wanted a thrown together bobber then, I rode the cb and realized how fun it was. Now I want every old bike I find at a reasonable price.^-^
