I did it again. (The bastardazation of a perfectly good Triumph)

So after the regular Craigslist checkup I stumbled across a deal I could not turn down. As always I start a new project without finishing the rest. It's a 1977 Triumph Tiger 750. I know the OIF bikes aren't the most desired Triumphs out there but I found a super clean one for the right price. I ordered a set of clip ons and a seat for it as well as a couple other small bits. Hopefully with any luck there will show up soon and can get this show on the road. Here is all stock pic. More to come very soon.

Man, that's why I love Triumphs. Minor changes, big impact. I guess that's true of a lot of bikes... maybe I'm just partial to Triumphs.

You are so right. Few changes and it looks like a new bike.

Thanks for kind words. I still have quite a few plans for it, after I work out the electrical demons I have lerking. I need to find somebody to match the paint on the tank so I can spray the seat pan. I think I'm also going to ditch the rear fender and upgrade the front brake. I guess time will tell where this goes. :)

Race Tech fork emulators, shocks and Avons, gee, it's easy spending other peoples' money.
Cheers, 50gary

For sure on the suspension. I have not decided on tires just yet. I want something that handles well but retains the vintage look. My current front is an Avon but the rear is a super sketchy Cheng shin so that's got to go fast. So many parts so little $!

I haven't tried them myself but I know a lot of guys run Dunlop K70s for the vintage look with modern benefits.
