Man, you may have covered this earlier in the thread but I really like the way you did the engine - did you just clean it or did you paint it that kind of gunmetal grey?

scotchbrite pad

well, you spend a TON of time sanding all the crap off the engine, i went from 500 and made my way to 1000 grit. It ended up a little too shiny, so i went over it with a scotch brite pad like trevor said. Ends up looking pretty nice, but make sure you polish in one direction when you are using the scotch brite.

and yes, the frame is ugly as hell, annoying as well, but it runs like a top. I learned a lot working on it, and it turned out for the better. Regardless, I'm looking forward to working on a nice XS frame. ::)

That's pretty cool. Well done. Most of the time, those bikes come out aweful because of the frame shape. But you pulled it off.

+1 man! nice work... i really like how that sucker came out! nice!

Very nice, I hope when I can fully Cafe mine it turns out half as good. I like the look a lot. Hear ya on the frame. ;D

Yeah I bet the boys at Honda ynever thought the humble little 4oo could turn out so cool looking! The color really works too.
Nice job.

Hey man... I just got my RCC seat the other day. Would you mind posting some pics on how you mounted that thing? It doesnt line up the way I thought it would. Thanks!

Hi

I am really interested in your seat and cowl. Do you have any close ups of how you put it on? Did you have to do much modifications?

Cheers
JT

Hey I would but I actually sold the bike a couple years back. In hindsight, I would have just welded some bars across the frame to mount with bolts.
