springer????

Was this built by someone on this board? Looks familiar. Disregarding the 16" balloon tires, this bike has a lot of cool features. Though I don't think the springer kills the bike, it would've looked better on a bobber style build.

Yuck, if that's not done I don't think I want to see a "finished bike" from that shop!

I want to know the reserve? He's already topped out I think? Yeah I'd like to part it out I'll take the springer for my bobber project. Then again no one ever gets what they think the horse is worth.

OMG! I saw that today when I was perusing ebay. All it is missing is a whole truck load of checkered decals. What's with the giganto front discs?

Reading the description I didn't think it seemed too bad (except for the springer front end...), but after looking through the pictures, damn... shoot that thing and put it out of its misery... ugly as sin collection of awful parts...

no rear brake, terrible front end, nothing flows with the look of the bike... part that sucker out... that's all I have to say... :(

The thread title says it all. Never seen a hooker exhaust wrapped liked that before, and whats with the filter from the top of the tank, a breather??? It's like the shop had 10 employees with 11 different visions working on that thing.

Had to go back for another look, noticed the drain plug(literally) in place of the starter, I assume only temporary. Not a bad idea really to keep crap out of the engine when working on it.

It's like a horrific accident, you don't want to look, but you can't help it...

Honestly, I've seen a lot worse that has been created from the huge "cafe style" craze that has erupted. Props to them for doing something different with the springer front end and the wheel size selection. Strip most if not all of that gaudy crap on there off and I think it'd be a cool bike. Similar to anybody throwing a 'cafe' seat and clubmans on an old Honda and calling it a "cafe" bike, as a lot of people have been doing as of late.

Does anyone even notice some of the trick things on this bike? Without even reading through the ad, I see an electronic ignition, an external oil cooler(oh easy bolt on right? ???), dual discs, CB200 tank(right?), stainless brake lines, and some dyna coils to work with the electronic ignition. And I'll even put the springer front end into this categroy, I THINK it is slick, different, and it's a relief to see something different. Who cares if the world thinks they only belong on chopper-bobber-cruisers?

So think about this, if someone came on this board and posted a similar bike, what would you say? I'd sure as fuck hope you'd have a bit more respect for their machine. And then you could trump them with YOUR 350 twin that just totally rocks that bike's socks off. Right?

I don't work for these guys, I don't know of them, I didn't even go to their site. But shit people, show some respect to other people's work. And thank god it's not just some UJM with clubmans and all of a sudden it's 'cafe'.

/rant off

i'll say i agree with you on one point.

i like the concept and the attention to detail.
i even like the look of the springers.

but i'm not going to condemn some for they're choice of just adding clubmans and a seat, and in the same breath scold them for hating on someone else's bike

to each his own.
if you don't like someone's bike just remember ......

it's theirs not your's

I'm not condemning them, shit I'm practically one of them! But knocking somebody's work for doing something different while most people are just Xeroxing bikes they see on the internet, just doesn't make any sense to me. I sure do have clubmans on my bike, I even have a 'cafe' seat, but I'm also fairly certain I'll never be ralphing over somebody's individuality, no matter how much I may not like it.

I'm not knocking on people doing simple mods to their bike. Like you said, to each their own. And as I mentioned, my bike is not something that reigns supreme over all bikes this side of the Mississippi, but if I had put my bike up on ebay, or here, or wherever, whether to sell, or to show off, doesn't matter, it'd be really fuckin lame for someone to say something like the above posts.

So I guess it goes like this, what if it was YOUR bike? Irregardless if it's a metal abomination or not, what would you want people to say?

Steve

To add, I'm not attempting to start a stellar internet argument here. Those obviously never seem to go anywhere and they are just silly. But at least from what I've seen on a few forums I frequent, there has been a lot of this going on. But on this forum I hadn't seen a lot of it, and I think it'd be nice not to. I'm not an admin, nor am I a member with any pulling power. Just someone who still appreciates all bikes, if not only because they have two wheels.

i'm in total agreement.

sorry wasn't trying to flame anyone more just trying to point out that everyone has their own tastes.

i'm sure the hardcore harley guys or the super vintage guys look at our stuff and shake their heads.

i'm sure everyone's bike is someone else's eyesore
