I think summer's over in New England

49 degrees certainly isn't cold, but combine it with a steady drizzle and it makes for a chilly damp day. So...I built a fire in the garage stove for the first time this season. :'(

What planet are you from?
I just moved to MA from AZ. week and two weeks ago it was 90. Went to AZ last week, where it was in the 90s and 80s. Came back last night -- drizzly but not bad. I'm hoping that thinking 49 isn't cold isn't universal, but I know I'm in for a change...

It hit 90 here yesterday. It's going to be in the mid-70s today, with rain, lots of rain. I'm getting mixed signals on the rest of the week, the local weather gal says 70s and sunny but weather.com says 60s and rain. ??? Either way, Autumn is coming.

I'm kinda crossing my fingers that last year's big snow on Feb 9 will be that once-in-a-couple-years storm, and this year will be mild. Not likely, I expect...

It's about time to get the snowblower Fired up thats for sure

That's my plan tonight after dinner, and to put sta-bil in the mower. It was 45 and rainy this morning, now it isn't fun, it's a commute.

Got to love New England. Time to split some wood and dig out the flannel lined jeans. (IMHO it isn't cold until the ponds are frozen over.)

Morning commute kinda sucks as its cold and you gotta layer up. I just keep thinking of the ride home as the afternoons I'm usually in t-shirt or maybe just a hoodie for the ride home. Still beats a cage thou.

When we had the short winter/long spring, the mosquitoes were unbearable. With this past winter, not as many survived, so I've had fewer than 10 bites this year. Be careful what you wish for.

Definitely winter in west TN, there are walnuts all over the driveway. 66 last night and I had goose bumps... woke up to upper 40s and clear skies, had to wear a heavy overshirt to work, in the truck, with a working heater.

You folks can keep the snow all to yourselves. I don't want any, thanks.

I rode to work this morning (every morning) and melted the rain pants I was borrowing on my ignorant exhaust.
