Idea for a cafe ?

the cowl looks way out of proportion!it must be smaller and has some dents (like i made in my design)...will be a challenge :) but i like the creative flow right here!!

I have to agree with haveing small indents on the tail to match the tank . Looks more stock and flows nice !

It's a bit rushed, but I'd go for something similar to this:

The red is brake light, black line is number plate.

That's not to bad ,you could look on airtech and see if they have something for a Ducati monster ?

ahah thats nice but the more i look at it the less i like the whole cowl idea so i might go for the design before that

be careful,in the last design the exhaust is missing...the plate braket will be intersting cuz it must brace around the exhaust.

the first try was a disaster ! i ended up scraping the hole seat unit :( i was using expanding foam to make a mold so maybe thats where i went wrong so moving on i will try again with foam blocks and carve the shape out, any tips ?

The green florist foam is good to work with, easy to sand. One tip is when you glue them, do it symmetrically to the bike. That way you can better see if the curve is symmetrical. If you just glue them any which way, the glue lines will throw off things. Easier to do it when the bricks form a sort of grid.

The pink or blue home insulation is good too, harder to sand than the green but good in a way since you can really fine tune the shape better.

What ever you go with test out a scrap piece to make sure the fibreglass resin doesn't eat it. If it does you'll have to cover it in something like plastic tape or tin foil.

Yep florist foam is good. Can't imagine using expanding foam?! Google how to make a cafe seat, Dime City Cycles did a good tutorial
