Ideas for covering tank badge slots on bare steel tank

I really like the look of my bare steel tank on my CB350 but the grooves where the tank badges were bother me. I tried reattaching the badges but wasn't pleased with that either. Anyone have ideas or suggestions? Thanks

one way is too have that area welded closed and then ground down flat with the tank

or
you could use body solder from eastwood, I have done this one and its not hard at all but there is a slight difference in colour from steel to body solder, just a shade lighter
