Idiot Lights Flushmount in Handlebar

Has anybody flushmounted LED idiot lights in the handlebars? Something like this (terribly crude) sketch?

If you have, what problems did you run into and where did your source your LEDs?

there should be no issues as long as they're wired properly and given enough slack to move around with the handlebars.

a small bracket may be better suited to seat them in. I can't see making four holes in the middle of a handlebar being healthy.

I would not recommend drilling your bars for setting idiot lights.where would the wire go out of the bar?

General rule of thumb...

Don't drill holes in handlebars unless absolutely necessary.

Piece of flat stock and bolt it down using the bar clamps.
