If Ducati really comes out wiht the Vyper i am selling my Harley

A buddy of mine has a newer Dana and a V-Max. He flogs the V-Max and just cruises on the Harley. Careful with the V max, his tail caught fire because the exhaust got too hot once.

Wow those bikes are not even in the same category. They are all awesome choices non the less. What about the new Ducati Multistrada. You get it all in one package.

I test rode the Streetfighter not long ago. MEAN, NASTY, ANGRY bike! One of the few motorcycles I've ridden that I genuinely believed wanted to hurt me...I loved every minute of it!
That said, I felt the Monster 1100 was a better all-around package and given the choice between the two it's the one I'd buy. The Multistrada was a great ride too, but way too much $$$ for my uses. For the price of the Multistrada I could keep my current touring bike, buy the Monster, and still have money left over.

haha, in all seriousness... i say go for it. its a SICK bike.
if i were going to buy a ducati, i would go with the 1100 monster as well. buttt... the jap stuff competes so well (and price wise is way better!) with the italians, that i usually lean in that direction.
if i were to spend over a month touring though, and i had to buy a new bike... multistrada all the way. beautiful machine.

Wow Tim, I think that BMW just became my fav. bike too. I read a lot of old copies of Cycleworld and Motorcyclist that friends just want to get rid of. like 6month old stuff, but I don't think i came across this one. I love the k1200R.
BMW price tag may hurt, but everyone needs a dream to aspire to, right?

my brother is in the market for a new bike. looking at a few, the BMWk1200r, the Ducati streetfighter, and the Yamaha Vmax... going to be a tough choice but this has my vote!
Is it just me or do all these new bikes look like they collided with an truck load of air conditioner and washing machine innards? This one's the worst I've seen, it looks like it mated with a Maytag and a fridgedaire.
