ignition coil upgrade

Looking for some advice.....I want to upgrade my 27 year old stock coils for more modern ones. My manual says the stock resistance is 3 ohms so my question is would going up to 5 ohms damage the bike or have any negative effects?

5 ohms is less load and will be just fine. Dyna coils are popular. The 5 ohm versions are black. Depending on your bike, you have to choose the correct version (dual or single output). If you want the same 3 ohm load, those are green. I would just get the same load as stock.
