Been Around the Block
My former integrated LED tail light failed when the rear wheel bounced from a pot hole and impacted it. It seems the best way to replace it was to cut off more of my tail section, build a new seat, and build an integrated wire harness too. ???

I've had trouble with the turn signals working correctly because my LEDs are soooo small. I've replaced flasher modules three times ending up with a 3 prong unit. At one point I put black tape around two light bulbs and wired them in so the flasher would work. Later, I wired in resistors (that got hot and nearly burned up wires). I didn't want any of that with the new harness. I built the new harness and as expected the signals worked just as before. I ordered a new flasher module from superbriteleds.com. Got it wired in and sorted out, all good! everything worked perfectly. So I install the tank and seat (not so easy now), I turn the key and test again before my ride and BAM! I have the same thing as with the old flasher module, the signal stays on constantly. I know it's wired correctly, I saw it work.

I'm probably not even asking for help. I think maybe I just want to bitch.

Thanks for being here. :'(

I'm running LED turns wired up with less than .35 Ohms resistance per turn indicator. The three prong flasher I installed with them has worked great if you'd like I could look up where I got it.

Good luck!

That would be great. It's weird, remember it worked for a while, the last one too.

Do you still have a flasher indicator bulb wired into the harness?

Nope. No lights, no clocks, nothing that doesn't make it go or stop and pass inspection. Alternator, regulator/rectifier, ignition coils, head light, integrated tail light, and micro front turn signals. That is all of my electrics. I think I might have time to tinker with it tomorrow I hope.

But I've been just manually blinking it with my thumb. It works for the time being unless I need to clutch too. But I think I'm one of 5 Memphians that use a turn signal anyway.
