I'm about to do a bad, bad thing.

I agree. I never have interest in a non-running bike for sale from a mechanic or shop. I expect the opposite. And my children are the best thing I have in life. ;)

alright marriage quips aside. how easy do you think it will be to get this running again? It seems like parts are hard to come by. $250 is a good deal unless i have to spend $2000 on parts.
Its an almost unknown brand, at least where im at so chances are parts will be scarce and expensive, plus you dont spend high $ on mopeds.
On the other hand they usually harder to kill than repair. Though i would go for a nice puch! Alabamas are sweet, my father has a few.

Well my Jeep is on the fritz again which means buying a new toy wouldn't be the best idea. Adulting is hard.

2001 jeep Cherokee sport. 4.0 straight six engine. The crank and cam bearings were recently replaced. Now there's a metal on metal scraping noise near the top of the engine. I did a little research and determined it's probably a bearing on one of the pulleys attached to the serpentine belt. Took off the belt. Thought the water pump felt loose. Replaced the water pump. No improvement.

Also I just contacted the guy with the moped and told him I wouldn't be able to look at it today. The jackass sold it yesterday even though i made an appointment with him. I'm glad I didn't make the two hour drive for nothing.

Oh damn maybe an idler pulley. Unfortunately 2001 is one of the worst 4.0's out there. Got one cousin that has the 01 an one that has a 2000 Freedom Cherokee. All of my cherokees were the renix injected years 87-90, then there was the quadradrive 04 grand cherokee, it was a beast
