My love for the motorcycle is slowly making me more dangerous on the road as I am always looking for a shed door open or a glimps of a bike in someone's yard. More often I'll have the wife drive places so that I can aimlessly peak into others privacy to see if there is a bike that may need rescue. I would really love to pay more attention to the road when I am driving but it is getting harder. Anyone else here sufffer from this?

I was just telling this to my dad the other day when I visited him. Made him drive the country road on the way to dinner so I could "window shop".

That's funny!

Funny, riding motorcycles has made me a much safer driver. Way more aware. I don't really pay notice to peoples old junk I guess...

Con'on out to California. We got a state full of boneheads like you. Driving along gawking, texting, doing everything but looking where they are going. Total spacial blindness.

Thanks for the invite Hoofhearted. Although this was written in a lighthearted manner, I do not support reckless driving. It was more of an item to make you chuckle inside about times when a bike has caught your eye while driving by and maybe just maybe you had to stop and ask if it is for sale. I just thought about this topic today while driving back home and I caught a glimpse of a bike sitting under a shed porch so I hurried up and turned around to make a slow pass. Turns out that it had a square headlight so I knew it wasn't what I was looking for. I don't think I'd fit in too well in California anyways.

Motorcycles have made me a very cautious driver. I focus on driving or riding only! Its only when I am riding with someone in a car that I am on the watch for things to buy.

In the UK research by ROSPA, the AA and some insurance companies has shown motorcyclists make better drivers, I must admit to being distracted by leggy blondes on hot days, always slow right down, for safety of course.

I crossed the center line a while back while looking in the rear view admiring the shiny 73 Kawasaki ke100 I had just bought. A minivan was coming at me also in the middle of the road. Woman was texting at the wheel and I was in lala land... I corrected and sounded the horn and assumed the sheepish look and she glared at me.
