I'm Matt. I'm 30 years old and live with my girlfriend in San Antonio. I bought a bike a few months ago after creeping around this and other sites for a while and I'm finally getting around to letting y'all know all about it.

Being from TX is OK. No one will hate you for it. I lived in Dallas for a while and in Austin for a few months on assignment and even drove down to San Antonio a few times. TX is alright, and teh women are friendly and beautiful.

Excess 850 triple is a good bike to customize. "Custom" frames are a PIA to get right with that brokeback look, but not impossible.

I'm a field officer with the largest recovery agency in the state so my time on the bike is limited. I planned from the get go to have this finished by the end of spring and with vacation time coming up I should pick up the pace here in a few. This is my first project and other than breaking steering locks and not finding neutral I don't have much experience working on bikes. But I was a car nut in a past life and have lots of hours spent under a particular shade tree.

I should also add I'm really good friends with go! or as she now goes by go mama!

That girl is amazing.
