I'm so confused, cb360 front wheel lace up

1976cb356

Twins FTW
Like I said, I have no clue whats wrong with how I laced it up but it is not getting tight. Something has to be wrong with the way I laced it up. I looked this up 100 times and looked at pics, but it looks like its the same to me. I even watched a video like 10 times, but no luck. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated as always.

Now that I look at it, it looks like the spokes aren't uniform, but who knows.

Look at the angle where the spoke runs from the hub. The angle is wrong.

The original wheel was "cross 3." You laced the new wheel "cross 2."

ADC got it
Here's 360 wheel I built few weeks ago

And here's some I did few years ago with only half the spokes fitted to make life easy.

It also makes a difference where the 'opposite' spoke starts in the flange, 'leading' or 'trailing'
Start by fitting all the 'outside in' spokes

damn that should have been somewhat obvisous, thanks a lot, just got to unscrew all of those nipples. Arthritis! haha really gets old tho.

Thanks for the visuals PJ and AZhonda, really helps. Looks like PJ has done his share of wheels. Thanks again guys

Nothing obvious about lacing wheels. I haven't laced a wheel in years, but I remember how it's kind of a visual puzzle. Fun when you get in the groove.
