Has anyone dealt with Indiana regarding a bike with no title? I can go the route of getting a bill of sale and the registration route but after talking with the DMV on the phone the lady says that without a title they can't do anything... meaning a Bill of Sale won't work either.

Please tell me there is something I can do...!!!

I was on this forum to post today's adventures at the BMV... while I was there I asked your very question because my Suzuki project has not title.
The answer they gave was I needed
>A Bill of Sale
>A police afodavite to verify the VIN (available online IN.GOV)
>Then when I get to the BMV they would run a title search.
If all comes back clear, you are golden.
Noble County, Kendallville branch, Red headed 400 lbs Bitch behind the counter.

title transfer from Mich to Ind.,and plates for my cl350 $75.00. It is even more if I want Historical, just about double. SALTY if you ask me!! Dupont/Coldwater Road. Last year when I was plating my 550 the Officer forgot to fill something out. They of course be raided my as if I was in the wrong, and was quick to point out that the officers phone number was at the bottom and I should leave right now so that I could call him to have him come to the BMV office to clear it up.

Sorry to necromance an old thread... but did anyone get anywhere with this?

I went to the DMV with the bill of sale and vehicle inspection form signed by a police officer and an affidavit and they said they couldn't help me.
