I like the centered plate much cooler than side mount
Quite a few dual sports are doing something similar with rear 'mudguard' ( I've seen Ducati and BMW )
Does it vibrate much?
Did you put any stiffeners behind it?
Does it 'stay put' or move down at all? (did you dual bolt the rods holding it or are they single bolt real tight?)
Do you have any lights on it (are they required where you are?)
Have you noticed any improvement in handling with front mudguard/fork brace fitted?

did you try satin black, similar to tyre colour? (that would make it 'disappear' even more)

Looks like you need a slightly longer link from rear-sets, the gear change will operate better if the operating arms are parallel
Damn, I don't usually ask anything like as many questions ;D 8)
Still don't like the rear as open but it's better than most
