I like the centered plate much cooler than side mount
Quite a few dual sports are doing something similar with rear 'mudguard' ( I've seen Ducati and BMW )
Does it vibrate much?
Did you put any stiffeners behind it?
Does it 'stay put' or move down at all? (did you dual bolt the rods holding it or are they single bolt real tight?)
Do you have any lights on it (are they required where you are?)
Have you noticed any improvement in handling with front mudguard/fork brace fitted?
I didn't notice it at first, being black ;) did you try satin black, similar to tyre colour? (that would make it 'disappear' even more)
(or is it just to keep the rain off? ;) )
Looks like you need a slightly longer link from rear-sets, the gear change will operate better if the operating arms are parallel
Damn, I don't usually ask anything like as many questions ;D 8)
Still don't like the rear as open but it's better than most :)

The plate does bounce a little I am thinking about making two more rods and fitting more of a rain guard out of it. The rod for the rear sets could probably be a little longer but as is it still shifts very crisp and smoothly. And oh wow yes there is a massive difference in handling with the fender. Also I have a question for you pj, so I am using the Uni filters currently and the bike is running great with perfect plug chops and the jets are all factory. My question is as I'm sure you can see the filter pressing up against the exhaust and while the heat back there never gets super high I still want to switch to a shorter k&n filter, do ya think I will need to throw in some 112s or something of that nature?

K&N flows more air than a Uni so you will need different jetting.
112.5 seems to work just about perfect for me on every 360/378 I've tried them in
You will end up with a rich mid-range with 112.5 secondary mains, if we had adjustable needles it wouldn't be as much of a problem (but we don't, so it is :( )
It is 'fixable' but 'proprietary information' (I can fix it)
Genuine K&N works better than any of the cheaper filters (as they should for 5~6 times the price)
You saw my carb video? ;D

would i need to send you the carbs or could you just hook me up with the parts i need. i dont believe i have seen your video i just see anyone with carb questions you seem to chime in ;)

Video is in the 1-800 section, not very good as it was first attempt at editing and I was trying out an new (cheap) camera
If you have screw in air jets, I can make a pair, if they are press in I need them here (and I do a few extra things when I get them)

they are the screw in types, what would it cost to have the jets re worked. i dont know if you would be interested but i have an extra set of 360 carbs i plan on sending you and if you like maybe for a discount you fix the jets in them and send me the jets and you keep the rest? let me know what ya think if that doesnt work for ya ill pull the jets and send them your way!
