Whats going on folks?!
Ive been riding for 6 years, started with a 2003 600 F4i but im more of an old-skool nostalgic type of person, so i decided to pick up a CB750 and cafe' it out. Bought a 1979 CB750K a couple months ago and ive been workin on it on my free time to "make it my own". Ive always been a fan of the open air riding experience, ive always said i would never be without a convertible (ive owned TR6's, miatas, Datsun roadsters, Austin Healeys, etc...) but it was inevitable after moving to downtown SF 4 years ago. i needed to fill the void so here i am today.
Here she is after the first week of owning her:
i had her painted flat white, slapped on clubman bars and a cafe seat. although she runs excellent as a daily driver, shes taken apart right now in my garage to replace fork seals, install clip ons, and just an overall runthrough mechanically and to spruce her up a bit.
i was wondering if could give me info on what stock wheels are direct replacements (these 2nd gen comstars are super heavy). im looking at 19" front/rear, or any other wire wheel combo that i should be looking out for, any info would be great. Looking forward to meets and contributing what i can in the near future. Ride safe, peace.
