Introducing Me and my new bike Jawa 86, 350 Twin, two-stroke

Hi all I am from Holland and when I was visiting this site for the first time. and see a part of all the marvelous bike projects, I came back and join, here a photo of my new bike 86 Jawa 350

and you can see on the photo's that the ex owner likes old movie's, this bike was only for to ride in the winter. (That's why he did the special paint on it) It is a Twin, two-stroke 350 cc two cylinder, this type is without a oil pump to mix the 4 stroke gas, like some dirt bikes have
It is not really original, its a mixture of older parts and idea's out the easy rider film with Peter Fonda.

Soon I start with stripping the paint and polyether of the tank, and paint it black sound familiar.

Hi Pieter,
WOW, that is some place to start from! I had a few lessons on a Jawa some 20 odd years ago, pretty agricultural and very hard wearing.
I think you are brave to use this bike, in a good way!
Just changing the paint, handlebars and lowering the forks and headlight will make a great difference.
With the right inspiration and execution, you could have something unusual, I look forward to seeing the progress.

I think as your bike is quite narrow and short you should look at the posts with 125-250cc bikes for some ideas. Work the bikes individuality to your advantage!

I have bookmarked this thread now so I want to see some progress :D

Good luck!

Welcome, and nice to have a different brands come in to the arena. I'll be watching.
