I think this is the pipe configuration I am going to run. I need to shorten the front one and gut the muffler to match the rear, I want to have them be the same length. I am taking 3" out of the muffler section and 2" out of the headpipe. I don't know how it will work out as they will be fairly short to the diverging section. That should, theoretically, make for a higher rpm power band and that is the opposite of what I really want, but there is a packaging problem if I go for more length. Ideally, I would like another 6" in the headpipe, but again packaging and my lack of welding skills make that more problematic.
I have moved the upper shock mount to get the swingarm angle where I want it and still able to use reasonable length shocks. I have period correct chrome steel clip-ons coming and I have an 18" front rim and new spokes to put on. I still haven't figured out rearsets as there isn't much frame structure to tie into and anything I can make up and bolt to the primary side would only have 2 or 3 1/4-20 primary cover bolts to hold it.
