A friend has a pretty clean 96 fzr that he i wanting to sell i told him i would start a thread about it to guage intrest as a fighter so is this a desirable bike for you guys, it is way to new for me it know what to tell him. is there a market, how much is a good price? the motor tran and the carbs were fresh last year but it has sat since then becouse it got replaced with a r1. So let me know what to tell him if you guys would ( it is purple as fuck lol)

Check on Craigslist to see what other's are selling their bikes at. Also, look at Kelly Blue Book, or the NADA as well in regards to value. That bike would make a good fighter. Any bike for that matter.

The FZR's are a very popular bike to turn into a street fighter. In good running condition they go for about $2,000 here. If it is ratted out (broken plastics, etc) they go for about $1,000

I had a 96 race bike that I sold to a buddy and he fightered it. Didn't take him long either. The subframe on those is really easy to bob off properly and looks good. They usually go for 1400-2k around here depending on the shape.

I had a '91 FZR600, put 65,000 miles on it. Great bike. I'd turn it into a fighter if I still had it.

Dont you dare remove that front fairing... The seat/subframe has that bulky 80s look so maybe use you magic metal gluing machine and fit a later model subframe, but please dont lose that front fairing.
