had a flat when i was in town last week, at least i thought it was a flat and it was really late so i had to hike to a 7-11 and got a can of fix a flat for it. rode it home and looked the next day to try and find a puncture or something, but found nothing. a few days later i see that the fix a flat fluid is coming outa some of the spoke holes. wtf, is that how my tire went flat. i drove all the way intown an the highway and when i parked it it was fine, but at the end of the night when i went to leave it was totally flat. so is it my rear wheel? i'm new to bike so......if it is bad and i go to get a used 350 wheel is there anyway to tell if it is in good shape, i.e no bends

Hole in the tube, as the air/sealer escapes from the tube it comes out through the spoke holes. The wheel is likely fine, check for loose or broken spokes as it can puncture the tube. There is a rubber band that wraps around the inside of the rim to protect the tube from the spoke nipples, make sure its ok before you install a new tube as well. An underinflated tire can slip on the rim tearing the valve stem as well, some wheels have rim locks to help prevent slip. Dont ride it till you get it fixed....dont want to see you thrown on your head ;)

Everyone has their own method of installing a new tube...I put a few pounds of air in the tube before I install it to keep it from rolling on itself, and use a bit of baby powder on the tube as well. Tire spoons are a good investment if you do alot of your own tire changes ( I use Motion Pro shorty spoons )

the tire is a dunlop d404 and says it tubeless. so does it still have a tube. and i found 3 spokes that i could wiggle a little bit, do they get tightened? like i said i'm new to this and this is my first bike so take it easy on me. thanks for the help

Yes it still has a tube, you can run a tubeless tire on a tube type rim without any problems. The spokes should be torqued, a motorcycle tech can tighten them for you if you are not comfortable with the process. It is imperative that the wheel is true, even I get a friend to lace/torque/true my spoke wheels...I just dont have the patience for it. Search Youtube and I'm sure you can find a video of lacing/truing a rim.

Your going to have a lot of 'fun' getting the 'Fix A Flat' off everything ;)
Sounds like valve stem is torn as m357.5 mentioned.
If you loosen the little nut on valve stem, does it 'lean' over in line with spoke?
Its actually quite common for people to fit tyre and use nut to hold stem upright (even though its really dangerous)
You neexd to get tyre off rim, tighten spokes, fit new rim band and check inside tyre to make sure you don't have a tack or similar in there.

damm looks like a have a fun little project on my hands. i was thinking i might just try and find some stainless spokes and relace the wheels anyway. wanna make should the wheel itself isn't bent either. looking for a price on stainless spokes. thanks

I wouldnt just throw money at the problem. If yo uwant stainless spokes, thats great, but there really should be no need to buy a new wheel. And I would never put fix-a-flat in a motorcycle tire.. ever.

it was 12 o'clock @ night and i was 30 minutes away from home and no one was around to help me so i didn't have much of a choice. i'm gonna def make sure the wheel isn't bent and as far as stainless spokes they would just look better and i do plan on going through the bike this winter and make it look good.
