Is there a way to seal exhaust holes without welding?

My stock setup had a catalytic converter looking thing in the front that I want to get rid of. I'm planning on covering the holes by bending the metal back into the hole, but there will still be gaps. I don't have 220 ran to my garage yet so I was wondering if there's a way to seal these gaps? I'm wrapping the exhaust so it doesn't have to be pretty.

you can see the muffler thing here

You might want to use an epoxy, I would use the clay type. I seen this other product called liquid weld or something like at pep boys, you might want to look into that too.

I had a hole in the bottom of my exhaust. I bought muffler weld from the local autozone. It is a goop that comes in a can that you spear over the hole. I haven't run it yet, but it dried really hard and looks like it will work.

The short answer is no.

There are a lot of temporary options including exhaust tape/pressure wrap, exhaust putty, and I've even heard of cold welding solutions ... but you're dealing with two specific issues:

1) Air Pressure
2) Vibration

The temporary solutions work, but as you ride, the vibration from the engine will shake off anything that isn't welded or help on securely.

The next best option would be to use the putty and the aluminum wrap , then cover it with light guage aluminum held on with clamps. It'll be ugly, but it'll work.

The best option would be to replace the pipe. Second best would be to have it professionally welded shut, but you'll loose your chrome.

I had this issue with a hole in the the header of my BMW M3 ... and I tried everything, then gave in and bought a replacement for $1000.
