is this a cl350 or cb360 triple tree? The guy I got the bike from said he had some cl350 parts on the bike and I think this might be one of them. what do you guys think?

are cl350 and cb360 top triple trees compatible?

my guess was a 350 because of the molded handlebar cups but I wasnt sure if the tree changed between years

look for a split and pinch bolts. 360 fork tubes go through the top triples and are clamped into position with pinch bolts. 350 forks ride under the top triple and are bolted through from the top not the side so there's no split in it or pinch bolts. that's a crappy description but i hope it helps!

350's used that style from 72 on.

Ya, only early 350s bolt in from the top. The 350 trees have the dampening clamps too. Maybe the Cls dont? Dunno, never had one, but those dont look like either.

Good way to tell would be to use a site like bikebandit and look at the part fiche for a few of the possible bikes. Then you would know for sure. Thats what I do when I have a part and can't remember which bike I pulled it from. ;D
