is this hot or what

Stunning bike.
SR400 with a hand made Japanese Alloy tank (I did some research).

Very hot. It takes a lot of work to make a bike look that clean.

Totally agree DrJ. Bikes like that are biker's bikes. I think a lot of non-bike people probably wouldn't appreciate it the same way and understand the amount and quality of work involved.

I think they are not selling as many as they would like because of that. people just don't understand. they see a bike on a showroom floor and think it's like honda putting out a bike it should be x price. when they see a used sr400 that has been remanufactured they expect it to be cheap.

Dues sell the parts as well. That tank sells for around A$1200.00 and the seat is A$400.00. They make some great stuff and there showroom is a guys heaven.

Don,t know if this has been posted before, but there are some very nice machines here. Enjoy

I just got my re-issue Firestones from Coker tire today just like the ones on that bike... they have been back ordered for 2.5 months. That pic reassures me that the vintage tire more associated with bobbers won't look out of place on my CB450. That bike is tough lookin. I like some of their other ones better though. I just saw their site for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

Definitely cool.

I dig those tires, a lot of the Japanese cafe builders use them. You'll have to tell me where you got them from when I'm ready to get a pair.

Dr. J,

Yeah... I think they are gonna look sweet... I've decided the look I'm going for on the 450 is what I am calling a "cafe roadster". Basically a low cafe with some vintage cues... tires, hooker scrambler pipe. Mix all that with clip-ons and rearsets and the Benjie's tank/tail and it's definitley going to be a unique bike... hopfully in a good way.

I went FAT with these babies... hope they fit okay... guess we'll find out in time... I went with a 19x4.00" in the front and a 18x4.50" in the rear  Going fenderless on that one so I think it will be tight but okay... the extra length of the 550 swingarm will help.

I ordered the tires directly from Coker.com. With tubes, rimstrips and shipping they ran me just about $300... i think... they didn't send an invoice with them and the charge hasn't posted to my card yet... so I don't know all the specifics. I'll PM you with the details if you would like.
