Is this tank a real Norton?

Been Around the Block
Is this tank a real Norton? I picked it up from a garage sale and I dont have any experience with Norton's. Its been painted several times I can see orange and yellow under the black.

Is this real?
What year is it?
Is it worth more than just being a donor tank?

Thanks in advance!

To me I would say it sure looks Norton Atlas so for that matter it would fit the i believe wide feather bed frames . look for some one building a triton

Haha this is ez you test it just like you do the motors if it leaks its british

I would guess it is a repop due to 2 things. The front mounts were usually welded to the bottom of the tank and it sat on the backbone. They are missing on your tank. They were also held on at the back by a tab with a stretch band that held them done, not bolted solid like yours. The shape is correct for an Atlas but if it were original it has been modified and then the mods cut off devaluing it to some extent.
