Hi,

This is my first try at building a cafe racer, my last bike was a 2003 BMW 650gsd that got stolen after I put a mere 30,000 miles on it. I bought this bike in May 2012 and finished in early June.

The most notable mods are the battery& computer is relocated under the cafe seat, air box delete, emgo rev cone, PCV and standard cafe setup.

The finished bike: 2012 Suzuki TU250x (stock picture below)

I love the 'Stone' bikini fairing. Not used enough IHMO
Can you get a set of rearsets for the TU?

I know they are available on the link below and it is the only place i ever found them, only they are over $500. I am a buyer at 250 but 500 is pretty steep for me.

Yee gads!
Yeah, $500+, forget about it.
I wonder if something from somewhere else could be modified... hmmm... *puts thinking cap on*

Now that I have the bug in my ear, I think I can put some together for around $200. All the pieces are available on ebay but I still have to find one piece(2), aluminum brackets I can use to bolt the rearsets to and then to the frame, shouldn't be too hard to find something suitable. Hopefully in about a month I will have something put together.

A couple of tabs welded to the frame, and a couple of steel brackets and you should be in great shape!! :)

I bought these rearsets for a Suzuki SV650 or SV1000 off ebay for under $100 delivered. I think I can make them work on my TU with a just little bit of modification. If they turn out to be rubbish $100 is not too much of a risk.
