It's Gone

My Ace has a new owner. The young lady and her dad came and took it away last Sunday to Sunny Bognor Regis.
It was the first time she had seen it apart from photos and from the grin/smile on her face I think it was exactly what she wanted.
I mentioned the Do the Ton web site and you may get a new member.
They intend fitting the fairing and some other bits to make it more like Herberts bike, useable day and night.

“That’s all folks”

I still have three bikes to play with, I've always had bikes, must be in the blood, even after my last off in 2008 (RTA) I bought a little tax exempt Spitfire to wean me off bikes, but you guessed it, I now have old bikes and cars. :)

My philosophy is that if I have the misfortune of having an accident on a bike that is not my own fault, then I will continue riding till I am too old (getting near).

Oldest is a mint 1957 BSA M21 ex-AA patrol bike without its sidecar and in civilian colours.
My 2000 1100 Pan is having a rest after I did 4,750miles in 23 days in July 2014 (Scorchio) via Europe and around Italy the day after I retired from work ???.
And a 2001 CBR600fi Factory Rossi (Nastro Azzurro) which frightens me sh1t less, but might be worth something when I'm dead and buried.

The little Ace was bought with the intention of doing a job and then being sold, I loved riding it thought.

I will continue to pop in from time to time.
All the best
